I am never proud to be an armchair fan but im proud enough to call Manchester United my own.

The Senorita:

A simple Singapore based Man United fan, and who say it as it is.
United revolve all around me and happens to be part of my everyday life indirectly.
For those who happens to ask what this blog is for, its as simple as you can get. Its going to be where im gonna pen my thoughts, views, prematch and postmatch talk, rants and everything that has got to do with the great club.
I need to make it clear that whatever you think of my views no matter how bias & unbias they are, its not going to bother me much. As a football fan generally that is, I will normally not be bias but being a united fan first, its not my fault if i accidentally do especially when it involved the great living legend Ryan Giggs! One piece of advice, DEAL WITH IT!

The Name:
We are UNITED, MAN UNITED, MAN UTD, MANCHESTER UNITED, RED DEVILS.
Pls refrain from referring to the club as Man U cause it is a term that rivals fans used to mock us with in regards of the ' Munich disaster as well as making fun of the death of Duncan Edwards.
How?
By singing songs such as:
Man U Man U went on a plane Man U Man U never came back again...
And:
Man U Never Intended Coming Home.
Also what was first heard being sung by the West Brom fans:
Duncan Edwards is manure, rotting in his grave,
man you are manure-rotting in your grave,

If we dont use the phrase Man C, Leeds U, Aston V, etc etc,
So why is there a need for us to be referring to the club as Man U?
Like the song goes Theres Only One United, people will know who you support without having to use the Man U term.

MY TOP 5

Ryan Joseph Giggs
D.O.B: 29th November 1973
Nationality: GB/ Wales
City of Birth: Cardiff, Wales
Weight: 68Kg/10st 10lb
Height: 180cm/5ft 11in
Position: Midfield/winger
Debut date: 02 March 1991

The player that caught my eyes when i just started following united back in 1992-93. I saw him doing his dribble past two or three players against Arsenal if im not mistaken and i asked dad, who is he to which dad told me he is Giggs. Never knew his full name until i heard the commentator one day called him Ryan Giggs. Eversince then, i will always look out for him and look forward to see him in every matches. What do i know, I only realized lately that ive been doing that for 15 years or so now!

I fear for the day he would called it quits. Being soooo used to watching him every week for a long time, his sudden disappearance will be a HUGE blow to me. I dont even have to imagine that to know how i would feel, i can actually feel it now everytime when i talk about it. Every new season, as much as i am looking forward to a new adventure, a little part of me will have the thought will this be his last season? I know players come and go, even Sir Alex Ferguson will leave us one day too (that will be a bigger heartbreak thou) but its just hard to take.

Witnessing his development, from being a magnificent winger to a stand in central midfielder as age catches up. 11 Premiership Medals, 2 European Cups and many many more accolades, how can anyone not make him an idol? And all these he achieved while playing for the only one club! And no, no red card as well! I dont care if people called me bias but he dont deserved any criticism no matter how bad he played because as much as i can recall, he did well many more times than he played badly these past years, so that evens it out.

Paul Aaron Scholes
D.O.B: 16 November 1974
Place of Birth: Salford, England
Weight: 11st 9lbs
Height: 5'7
Position: Midfield
Debut date:21 Sep 1994

The second runner-up. If Im honest, i love him as much as Giggsy and despite his tackles, i love everything about him. Not only is he a great player on the pitch, in fact no doubt one of the best midfielder England ever produce, and he topped it off with a great character as well. Perhaps not many journalist would agree with that but personally i think, thats how footballers should be. You do your talking on the pitch not anywhere off it, leave that to the manager or even the coach. Whats the use of all these interview anyway when the question that often been asked is How do you feel? What do you think? etc, etc, whoever is going to believe that whatever the players said is genuinely what they think?

I didnt talk much about Scholes but thats only because he didnt talk much as well and i respect him for that because all along I have the thinking that he doesnt like being in the limelight which probably is true. But that doesnt mean he didnt hold a big part in my life supporting united. The best midfielder that ive seen playing for united and still do too. Like Giggsy, i hate to think about the day he decided to hang up his boots. A sure thing a player like him is very hard to replace, his vision, his passes, his crossing and most of all his creativity is second to none and that doesnt include his loyalty yet. If there is anyone that fits the word underated perfectly, it would be him, Paul Scholes. How the hell does he not win any personal award just yet? This is just not fair.

Nemanja Vidic
D.O.B: 21 Oct 1981
Place of Birth: Uzice, Serbia
Weight: 13st 0lbs
Height: 6'2
Position: Defence
Debut date: 25 Jan 2006

He rocks! Everytime i think of Vidic, its kind of funny and it remind me never to doubt Sir Alex & his gang ability to spot talent. Well its always easier to spot talent but difficult to groom that talent but with Vidic, i dont think the gaffer had a lot of problem. Within his stay in Manchester, he had already surpassed Rio in being the best CD in the premiership and together they make a perfect item. Not only he is rock solid at the back but he can score goals too. A complete package of what we really need and its not easy not to like him. Another priceless asset we have that i hope we dont let go.

Wayne Mark Rooney
D.O.B:24 Oct 1985
Place of Birth:Croxteth, Liverpool
Weight:12st 5lbs
Height:5'10
Position:Forward
Debut date:28 Sep 2004

Hah! So where do i start?? 25/08/2005 - Manchester United confirm they have made an offer to Everton for striker Wayne Rooney. Pissed off! No way Jose i want a him in the team just no! I dont like the fact that he is a scouser, and his famous tagline "Once a Blue, always a blue" always make me think that he wouldnt want to be with us.

Guess what?? Im sooooo damn wrong of course. And the irony, he happens to be if not the most, one of the dedicated players we have in the team. People always talk of his temper and tantrums but to me thats what make him special. Just as long as it didnt affect us in anyway of course.

Also i like how he go about doing his thing without really that much HU-HA and playing for Manchester United didnt make him big headed in anyway at all. His passion for football and for united can be seen even on the pitch. I really have very high hopes on him and in him i was actually hoping to see another Ryan or Scholes like players, someone who will end his united career here with us but as much faith i have, ive learned not many of today's player can do that so we'll see.

John O'Shea
D.O.B:30 Apr 1981
City of Birth:Waterford, Ireland
Weight:11st 11lbs
Height:6'3
Position:All Over
Debut date:13 Oct 1999

He might not be the best player on the field but no doubt his existence is one that i will appreciate for a long time. People talk about Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes and and Gary Neville about loyalty and its always easier to brush player like Sheasy but for me, his willingness and his sacrifice into becoming a versatile player for us is enough to see how much loyalty he have for the club.To add to that the amount of criticism he gets is beyond words and its a shame really seeing how we love to have a loyal player in the club but yet when we see one we didnt tend to acknowledge it. Regardless how he perform, he will always be in that soft spot in my heart. It is definitely not easy to perform consistently well for all matches when your playing in different position each game but atleast he tried.

Nudge me!

Man Utd 0 VS 1 Burnley 19th Aug 2009.

Line-up: Foster, O'shea, Brown, Evans, Evra, Park, Carrick, Giggs, Anderson, M.Owen, Rooney.

How frustating was it?? Waited the whole night for the game and one hr before it actually start, I fall asleep! To make matter worst, i only wake up at 6.00 am, stumbled upon the door trying to catch atleast the scoreline but still am too late.

Even until now i didnt get to watch the full match apart from highlights but tbh, i dont feel like searching for it especially after reading my friends reaction of the match on the lounge.

The first loss for the new season and it just has to be against Burnley a newly promoted team in the Premier League. I dont know why is it many would think these newly promoted team are easy to play against? I have some liverpool friends especially who LOL'd at us losing to a side like Burnley but seriously what is sooo funny about that? For a start, if anything i feel, these clubs are these that we should always be wary of especially it being their first season in the PL. Being first time to everything mostly will make them to want to prove something and when a team has so much drive, it can be as difficult to play against like playing against any of the top team.

Thats when we lose this match. Because i somehow feel we underestimate them ourselves. To add to that, the lack of urgency in our approach, there couldnt be any other excuse to the embarassing performance from the team. As usual, sooner or later, not taking our chances will one day haunt us and thats what happen against Burnley. I still refuse to believe the lack of quality manpower in the team is what made us lose. We have enough resources and the players we have currently is quality enough to have win it but they just didnt do enough to win it. Its the players mistake and no one else. Not even Sir Alex who refuse to sign anymore new signings.

Well, whats done is done and like always, im hoping for a proper backlash from the result. United always did that after losing a match so hopefully its no difference this time. A win against Wigan will help to boost the players prior to the match against Arsenal so lets hopefully we made it.
